US Open of Surfing

サーフィンのUSオープン決勝を見にハンティントンビーチに行ってきた。

今年は例年とは違って、珍しく波が頭ほどでサイズ的にはGood！
男子ショートボード決勝が満潮時に重なり、波があまり割れなくなってしまって
残念だったが、その前に行われたロングやジュニアの決勝は
波が良くて、ものすごいパフォーマンス。
さすがにプロはスピードとキレ、そしてパワーが違う。
ピアから見てて、ちょうどすぐ目の前で波が割れてたから
プロの技をまじまじと観察。学ぶことが多かった。

ちなみに男子ショート優勝はナザニエル・カレン。
あのティム・カレンの弟。血は争えませんな～
